Warmer months mean the chance to sit in the sunshine and enjoy cooking and eating meals with family and friends out in the fresh air. However you may ask yourself, is your backyard ready for entertaining? If you’re looking for ideas to transform your backyard into the perfect space for relaxing or entertaining in Bethlehem, Easton, or Allentown we have a few tips for you.

Here are 3 gorgeous patio designs for your Lehigh Valley backyard:

  • Classic paver patio with custom natural gas fireplace and covered porch in Orefield, PA

To maximize the space for this patio in Orefield, Pennsylvania, we helped the homeowner design and build three living zones all on the same level. This naturally extends their home’s first floor to the beautiful covered porch and ensures everyone can access it safely.

An attached A-frame style roof covers the deck and beautifully blends into the architecture of the home. Natural light was very important to the Bartkavage family. So we incorporated skylights into the design that seamlessly permit natural light to filter back into space and keep their home bright. The outdoor living space in Orefield, Pennsylvania also features dimmable LED recessed lighting and speakers that are perfect for setting the mood.

The cook should never be left out of the party. This is why we helped this family design a built-in kitchen that serves as a subtle focal point and makes sure the chef can fully enjoy the space while cooking everyone’s favorites. The outdoor kitchen in the Lehigh Valley is also equipped with a natural gas grill, roll-out trash receptacle, storage drawers, and an open cabinet for taller items.

Traveling down to the timeless paver patio the Bartkavage family enjoys a custom natural gas fireplace that ignites with a flip of a simple switch. The stone veneer is carried throughout the entire patio design to promote continuity and give it a timeless look.

  • Upgrade the patio space between your existing pool and house

This family knew they wanted a new paver patio in Allentown, Pennsylvania. But they did not know if it was possible to demolish the existing concrete slab patio without impacting the pool. Using our design-first approach, we helped the family develop a visual that featured a low-maintenance patio with Techo-Bloc Mista pavers in a beautiful Chestnut Brown. The Techo-Bloc Mista pavers fit together beautifully and create a durable foundation for the new outdoor living space.

To create a natural element on this Lehigh Valley patio, all of the beams, gable details, and posts were clad in authentic and rustic barn wood. This material gives the space a unique sense of character and charm. The custom paver patio also features state of the art technology such as LED lighting, a recessed speaker system to stream the family’s favorite music, bromic heaters to keep everyone warm when the temperatures drop, and more.

The fully equipped outdoor kitchen features ample prep space, a chef-caliber grilling area, plenty of storage, microwave, ice machine, 2 refrigerators,  hidden recycling/trash can bins, hot and cold water kitchen sink, and more!

  • Open concept rustic paver patio with gas fire pit and vegetable garden in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania

Active parents with a busy household know that they do not want to spend their time sanding, painting, or maintaining an old wood deck. They deserve to spend their free time creating memories with friends and family!

This is why we helped this family design and build a new rustic paver patio in Easton, Pennsylvania. The new patio is intimate, functional, low-maintenance, and filled with features that add a ton of value to this home and family. The attached roof system seamlessly blends into the home and features skylights that allow plenty of natural light back into the house and a ceiling fan keeps the family cool on those sticky summer nights.

Beyond the dining area, the family enjoys relaxing by their custom natural gas fire pit. Soft LED lights are strategically placed throughout this outdoor living space in Easton, Pennsylvania. They highlight the stone seating walls and add a dynamic look at night.

Landscape improvements included, but were not limited to, new landscaping beds, shrubs, trees, and perennials that add color and variety to the area.  The Stitt family also enjoys growing their own fruits and vegetables in the raised beds that surround their new patio in Easton, Pennsylvania.
